KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily store operations, which includes recruiting top talent, training, and developing your team while driving profitability.
  • Foster a culture that prioritizes guest needs and consistently delivers Convenience You Can TRUST.
  • Serve as a role model for team members by maintaining a high-energy, friendly demeanor towards both team members and guests.
  • Actively manage your profit and loss statement and inventory by identifying sales trends and implementing strategies to enhance performance and profitability.
  • Establish an organized and process-driven environment.
  • Communicate company objectives to ensure store team members understand how these align with their daily responsibilities.
  • Set clear expectations for team members, monitor results, and manage performance for continuous improvement.
  • Effectively schedule team members to meet guest demand while maintaining labor controls.
  • Promote a culture of superior guest service and operational excellence to uphold MAPCO brand standards.
  • Exercise discipline to optimize results through efficient expense management and thorough planning.
  • Forecast and analyze business trends related to payroll, loss prevention, and controllable expenses to maximize store performance and profitability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a people-first mindset; every team member and guest deserves an excellent experience.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, including providing ongoing feedback to store associates regarding performance, recruitment, and performance management.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to simplify complex issues.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment with energy and focus on execution.
  • Manage work schedules within established budgets for optimal store coverage.
  • Strong business acumen is required.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
  • Availability to be on call 24/7.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of retail management experience in a similar environment.

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, and sit. They frequently bend, squat, use hands to type data, operate business equipment, and lift up to 40 pounds. The position requires being on call 24/7 and may involve working between 50 and 60 hours a week.
