CNC Machining Specialist

General Overview:
Assist in the manufacturing operations with a focus on reducing downtime,
enhancing efficiency, and upholding the Toyota Production System alongside company
standards and protocols. Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery to optimize dies, fixtures, weld cells, and
conduct preventative maintenance on equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
A. Facilitate tool room functions across all production machinery and facilities.
B. Fabricate components for the maintenance and enhancement of stamping dies, fixtures, weld cells, and swage
machines.
C. Set up, program, and operate CNC and manual machines in the tool room to create necessary
components.
D. Utilize MasterCam, Solid Works, and AutoCAD on a daily basis to design, modify, and program components.
E. Manage machine uptime and downtime effectively.
F. Heat treat new components to meet specified requirements.
G. Diagnose and resolve issues with parts as they arise.
H. Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment.
I. Record the completion of all necessary processes in the Asset Essentials system.
J. Collaborate with tooling die repair technicians to ensure proper installation of new components.
K. Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
L. Employ measuring instruments and gauges.
M. Work in conjunction with the Engineering department to enhance processes.
N. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Machinist 1 certificate/diploma or equivalent required.
  • Tool and Die certificate/diploma or equivalent experience preferred.

Experience:
  • 2-5 years of experience in Tooling and Machining required.
  • 2-5 years of experience with CAD and CNC programming required.
  • Experience with MasterCam preferred.
  • Background in CNC, machine shop, and Kaizen preferred.
  • Stamping die repair experience is a plus.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
  • Experience using an overhead crane is a plus.

Skills:
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
  • Willingness to work mandatory overtime as needed.

Language Proficiency:
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal.

Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with MasterCam, Solid Works, AutoCAD, or similar programming software.

Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this position, the team member is required to communicate effectively, see, and hear. The team member must be capable of walking, sitting, and standing, and may occasionally lift up to 30 pounds.
