Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Long Island State Veterans Home. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, promoting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff.
  • Participate in activities and programs designed to promote resident engagement and socialization.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • NYS Nurse Aide Certification.
  • One year of healthcare experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a dynamic and unpredictable environment, with exposure to infectious disease, blood, and other unpleasant elements. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
