Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our accounting department in Sandy Springs, GA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining financial records and reports, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with budget and close processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and reports, including general ledger accounts.
  • Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations, and assist with monthly close processes.
  • Support the billing coordinator in processing accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury, and conduct internal audits.
  • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and meet processing and reporting deadlines.
  • Responsible for Accounting month-end and year-end close tasks.
  • Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and provide financial information to management by researching and analyzing accounting data.
  • Assist Controllers and CFO as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 2+ years of accounting experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills.
  • Good problem-solving and time management skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and security relating to personnel and financial matters.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment.
