Job Description

Staff Financial Group is seeking a highly skilled Client Write-Up Bookkeeper to manage the financial record maintenance for multiple clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.
  • Handle all aspects of bookkeeping, including data entry, bank and credit card reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Process payroll and prepare payroll tax returns, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate record-keeping for clients.
  • Reconcile and maintain general ledgers for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and file sales tax reports and other compliance filings as required by state and federal regulations.
  • Assist clients in resolving discrepancies in their financial records, providing recommendations for process improvements.
  • Work closely with clients and the tax team during year-end close to prepare financial statements for tax filing.
  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting to clients, providing regular financial statements and analysis.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a public accounting environment.
  • Strong proficiency with QuickBooks (desktop and online), Xero, or other accounting software is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of general accounting principles and financial statement preparation.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts simultaneously, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with payroll, payroll tax filings, and sales tax reports.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain professional client relationships.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
