Johns Hopkins Medical Management Corporation is seeking a dedicated Organ Placement Coordinator to join our esteemed organization. We pride ourselves on being a part of a diverse and dynamic team that is committed to excellence in healthcare services.
Work Schedule:
- 3 shifts of 12 hours each per week
- Minimum of 2 on-call shifts monthly
- Shifts may vary between 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am
- Flexibility required for days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Remote work capability with reliable internet access is essential
Compensation: $44.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:- Receive, assess, and coordinate organ import offers for the Clinical Transplant Center (CTC).
- Manage organ placement for transplantation and research, including transportation coordination and communication with transplant center personnel regarding all import organ donors.
- Engage in regular communication with transplant surgeons and coordinators.
- Collaborate with JHH On-call Transplant RN coordinators and clinical staff during donor management to facilitate organ allocation and arrange transportation for recovery teams.
- Provide accurate medical information concerning import donor organ function.
- Organize ground and air transportation for surgical teams, perfusionists, and other essential personnel involved in organ recovery.
- Ensure compliance with Organ Procurement and Transplant Network (OPTN) and United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) policies regarding organ allocation.
- Facilitate communication and logistical coordination for potential and accepted import organ donor cases.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing, emergency medical services, healthcare studies, or biology.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the medical field or health sciences (such as EMT, Paramedic, LPN, or EMS dispatcher) may substitute for educational requirements, or a combination of education and experience.
