About the Role

North Park University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Professor of Biology to join our faculty team. As a part-time instructor, you will be contracted on a term-by-term basis to teach a diverse student population in our Biology department.

Responsibilities
  • Teach a variety of Biology courses, including introductory and advanced classes, to students with varying levels of academic preparation.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations to promote student learning and success.
  • Utilize the university's learning management system to create and deliver course materials, assignments, and feedback.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and document student participation in academically related activities.
  • Meet with students during office hours to provide support and guidance.
  • Submit grades and course evaluations in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Clear understanding of North Park University's mission and values.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Terminal degree in Biology or a related field.
  • Experience teaching at the university level.
  • Familiarity with online instruction and learning management systems.
