Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Integrity Engineer to join our Product Development team at Amphenol TCS. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership in supporting the development of new products through testing and analysis of data and designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Development Support: Provide technical expertise in mechanical testing and qualification of electrical and opto-electronic cable assemblies and components.
  • Test Sequence Development: Design and develop test sequences and procedures to determine the long-term reliability of electrical and opto-electronic cable assemblies, taking into account customer use and application requirements.
  • Test Result Analysis: Process and analyze testing results, creating reports and presentations for internal and external customers.
  • Product Design Support: Collaborate with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel to support the development and validation of product prototypes through pilot production, as well as interface with beta-site customers.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with solid modeling tools (Pro/E and/or Solidworks), data analysis software (MS Excel, Minitab), and Finite Element Analysis tools (ANSYS).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical people, and work in a team environment.
  • Desirable Skills: Experience with copper alloys and high-performance engineering thermoplastics, basic understanding of electrical connectors.
