Patient Access Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Associate to join our team at Houston Methodist. As a Patient Access Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient access services. Your primary responsibility will be to obtain and record accurate demographic and insurance information on patients, ensuring that all hospital accounts are secure and compliant with Medicare guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain and record accurate demographic and insurance information on patients
- Ensure that all hospital accounts are secure and compliant with Medicare guidelines
- Perform cashiering functions, collecting co-pays, deductibles, and co-insurance
- Conduct medical necessity checks to ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and families
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Two years of experience in a customer service environment preferred
- One year of registration experience in a hospital environment preferred
