Kids' Cooking Mentor Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Kids' Cooking Mentor to join our team at Kids' Test Kitchen. As a mentor, you will play a key role in inspiring kids to develop a love for cooking and healthy eating.

Compensation: $60 per class, with potential for additional income through bonus classes or programs.

You will lead cooking classes for kids, focusing on hands-on learning and interactive activities. You will also work closely with our team to develop and implement new program initiatives, maintaining a safe and clean cooking environment along the way.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead cooking classes for kids, incorporating hands-on learning and interactive activities.
  • Develop and implement curriculum for cooking classes, ensuring alignment with nutrition education goals.
  • Collaborate with our team to create new program initiatives and resources.
  • Maintain a safe and clean cooking environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, preferably in a cooking or nutrition education setting.
  • Degree in Nutrition, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Knowledge of nutrition principles and practices, with ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting.
