The Division of Endocrine Surgery at the University of Miami Health System is seeking a highly skilled and experienced surgeon to join our multidisciplinary team. As a fellowship-trained surgeon, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality clinical care and participate in cutting-edge clinical trials.
Key Responsibilities:- Participate in clinical and educational activities related to the Division of Endocrine Surgery and the Department of Surgery.
- Provide patient Surgical Services, including OR and other clinical care at the University of Miami Hospital System and Jackson Health System.
- Educate medical students, surgery residents, and fellows, nurses, and other medical personnel at UMH and JHS facilities.
- Interact frequently with colleagues and attendings from multiple departments and divisions.
- Provide presentations and publish research.
- Responsible for billing clinical services and documenting in patient medical records in a timely manner.
- Promptly reply to billing and documentation discrepancies and issues.
- Abide by practices outlined in the Medical Faculty and UMMG Manuals.
- Attend weekly divisional meetings and Departmental Faculty Meetings, and attend Grand Rounds.
- Respond to urgent email inquiries.
- M.D. degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Valid DEA Registration and Florida Medical License.
- 0-10 years post-fellowship clinical experience in Endocrine Surgery preferred.
