Banquet Captain

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banquet Captain to join our team at Biscayne Bay Restaurant Corporation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and coordination of banquets and events, ensuring seamless delivery of exceptional service to our clients.

• Supervise and coordinate the setup, execution, and breakdown of banquets and events, ensuring all details are carried out according to client contracts.
• Verify setup to ensure it follows the specific Banquet Event Order.
• Responsible for greeting guests prior to the event and assisting the banquet staff throughout the event.
• Prepare and present the Banquet check to the client at the conclusion of the function, ensuring proper payment is rendered.
• Oversee cleanup and breakdown of banquet functions, accounting for all equipment and supplies to ensure they are returned to the proper storage facilities.
• Handle any guest complaints and bring them to the attention of the Banquet Manager or Assistant Banquet Manager to resolve.
• Must wear approved manufacturer-certified slip-resistant or non-slip shoes at all times while working.
• Participate in and pass alcohol awareness and safety training classes.

• Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage service procedures.
• Strong background in hospitality preferred.
• 2 years related banquet or events experience preferred.

• Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English.
• Proven ability to perform all positions in banquet operations to supervise and assist banquet personnel.
• Strong PC skills with a working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS Office, and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong organizational and time management skills. The ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and clients is essential.
