Lead Camp Counselor Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced Camp Counselor to join our team at KE Camps in Avon, CT.

About the Job

As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for leading a group of children aged 6-12 in various activities and games. Your primary focus will be on creating a fun and engaging environment, building relationships with campers, and ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.

You will work closely with the Camp Director to establish rules and emergency procedures, supervise daily swim time, and lead activities when assigned. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills and make a positive impact on the lives of children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a group of children in various activities and games
  • Build relationships with campers and ensure their safety and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with fellow Counselors and the Camp Director
  • Supervise daily swim time and participate in water activities
  • Lead activities and programs as assigned by the Camp Director

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working with children
  • CPR/First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain certification
  • Ability to sustain energy for participation in a full day's worth of activities
  • Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Consistent, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations
