POSITION TITLE: Talent Sourcing Specialist

REPORTS TO: Lead Employment/Retention Specialist
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt/Hourly
CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time Regular
ROLE SUMMARY: The Talent Sourcing Specialist plays a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating candidates for job openings in alignment with the requirements set forth by the Business Services team. This position involves collaboration with Career Coaches to effectively match qualified individuals with suitable employment opportunities. Additionally, the Specialist will assist in establishing partnerships with transitional employment organizations and facilitate connections for Temporary Work Experiences (TWE).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Engage with Business Services and Employment Specialist teams to foster relationships with employers, generating job opportunities for job seekers.
- Gather and maintain agreements with employers to serve as Temporary Work Experience Host Sites.
- Build and nurture employer relationships while promoting the program to local businesses seeking both permanent and TWE candidates.
- Coordinate with Career Coaches to assess job matches, referral processes, TWE opportunities, and employment services.
- Promote job openings to job seekers through personalized meetings and organized recruitment events.
- Screen candidates for interviews and provide appropriate referrals to employers.
- Conduct follow-up communications and site visits with job seekers and employers to evaluate employment status and satisfaction with services.
- Guide candidates in interview preparation and conduct mock interviews as needed.
- Organize monthly Job Club sessions to assist groups of participants in their job search efforts.
- Achieve monthly placement targets and compile reports tracking activities and outcomes.
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from job seekers and employer clients.
- Maintain and update the database of job development leads and case notes as required.
- Conduct monthly follow-ups for all participants post-hiring to ensure job retention.
- Stay informed about economic and employment trends and emerging career opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in workforce development programs.
- Two to three years of experience in recruiting, sales, job development, or account management.
- Proven success in achieving goals in a high-volume sales environment is preferred.
- Ability to excel in a performance-driven environment and consistently meet objectives.
- Understanding of the unique challenges faced by justice-involved individuals.
- Experience presenting to large groups effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Human-Centered Design principles, including Motivational Interviewing.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional sales abilities with a track record of generating leads and closing deals.
- Critical and creative thinking skills.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM applications, and online sourcing tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Bilingual skills (Spanish and/or Arabic) are advantageous but not mandatory.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands outlined are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this role. Regular activities include seeing, talking, and hearing. The role may require standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods, as well as the dexterity to operate office equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position operates in a standard office environment, which may occasionally be moderately loud. The role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.
