Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Metal Prep professional to join our team at Folience. As a key member of our Paint Manufacturing department, you will be responsible for preparing bare metal trucks, priming doors, and bonding corner caps.

This is a hands-on role that requires a strong understanding of auto body processes, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work with power and air tools. You will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, assisting other departmental employees, and adhering to production schedules while ensuring a high-quality product.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare bare metal trucks for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer.
  • Operate power and air tools to bond and sand metal surfaces.
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
  • Assist other departmental employees as needed to meet production schedules.
  • Work closely with the Paint Manufacturing Coordinator to ensure a smooth production process.
  • Participate in quality control checks to ensure a high-quality product.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in auto body or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with power and air tools.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production schedules.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
Work Environment

This role requires working in a manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust, and other hazards. The employee must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment.
