Key Responsibilities

As a Systems Architect at Peraton, you will design and develop end-to-end systems and systems-oriented products through their entire life cycle. You will generate quantifiable requirements based on customer description, system planning, and design, and acquisition logistics. You will ensure requirements comply with client requirements and government standards through formal verification methods. Your responsibilities will include translating high-level product development strategies into system requirement specifications, working with other engineering disciplines to develop lower-level detailed implementation requirements, establishing and coordinating development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the overall product development, and designing interfaces and bringing system elements together so they work as a whole. Additionally, you will assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures, support business development activities, participate in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts, and generate system-level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.

Technical Skills

You will have experience with Agile development methodologies, be an expert in the use of automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible, and have a solid understanding of computer programming and software development. You will also have experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Python, Kubernetes, and Ansible, and be able to maintain and enhance CI/CD processes using GitLab, Jenkins, and other standard DevSecOps tools to ensure smooth code development, integration, and delivery. Furthermore, you will have experience with RedHat AAP & Satellite, VMware Suite: VCF, vSphere, ESXi, Docker, Nexus, Windows Server 2019/2022, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Windows Server Update Services, Microsoft Identity Manager, SQL Server 2016/2019, SharePoint 2019 Suite, and PowerShell.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include 5 years with a BS/BA, 3 years with an MS/MA, or 0 years with a PhD, excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates, experience with Agile development methodologies, and an expert in the use of automation tools such as Python, PowerShell, Terraform, and Ansible. Additionally, you will have a solid understanding of computer programming and software development, experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Python, Kubernetes, and Ansible, and be able to maintain and enhance CI/CD processes using GitLab, Jenkins, and other standard DevSecOps tools to ensure smooth code development, integration, and delivery.
