Job Title: Chief Mobile Network Architect

We are seeking an experienced Chief Mobile Network Architect to join our team at Grid Networks LLC.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in designing and deploying mobile network infrastructure, including access and core network components. The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deploy Mobile Network Infrastructure: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will design, deploy, and maintain mobile network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance.
  • Manage Network Systems and Configurations: The successful candidate will manage network systems and configurations, ensuring seamless network operations and resolving issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with Vendors: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will collaborate with vendors to ensure compliance with requirements and negotiate contracts.
  • Develop Network Security Policies: The successful candidate will develop and implement network security policies and procedures to ensure the integrity of our network.
  • Analyze Network Performance Data: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will analyze network performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Participate in Incident Response: The successful candidate will participate in incident response and problem management, providing technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex network issues.
  • Provide Technical Support: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will provide technical support and training to junior engineers and other teams as needed.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Developments: The successful candidate will stay up-to-date with industry developments, new technologies, and best practices to continuously improve network operations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in Mobile Network Engineering: The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in mobile network engineering, with a focus on core network domains.
  • Strong Understanding of Mobile Network Protocols: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will have a strong understanding of mobile network protocols, including 3G, 4G, and 5G.
  • Network Management System Knowledge: The successful candidate will have experience with network management systems, such as NetConf, SNMP, and RESTful APIs.
  • Linux Operating System Knowledge: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will have Linux operating system knowledge as well as scripting languages, such as Python or Bash.
  • Detailed Protocol Knowledge: The successful candidate will have detailed protocol knowledge common protocols and interfaces used to enable mobile networks, including: SS7: Signaling System 7, including SCCP and MAP, Diameter, SIP, SMPP.
  • Vendor Experience: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will have experience working with vendors, including negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with requirements.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: The successful candidate will have excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's Degree: The Chief Mobile Network Architect will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, or comparable experience.

Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
