Dietary Supervisor

At Homestead Estates of Leawood, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Supervisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and serving of meals to our residents, ensuring that all food is prepared according to the dietician-approved menus and in accordance with Federal and State regulations.

• Plan and prepare menus in consultation with a dietician, taking into account seasonal and local food availability, as well as resident preferences.
• Supervise cooks and dietary aides, ensuring that all meals are prepared to a high standard and presented in a visually appealing manner.
• Manage inventory and supplies, ensuring that all necessary items are available to dietary staff.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring that it is clean and in good working order.
• Participate in care plan meetings and work with residents to ensure that their dietary needs are met.
• Comply with all State and Federal regulations, including infection control procedures and fire safety protocols.

• Ability to successfully cook for an average of 30 or more residents at a time.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
