DynaFire Inc is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Service Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing and servicing fire sprinkler systems to ensure maximum performance and minimum downtime.
Key Responsibilities- Install and Service Fire Sprinkler Systems: Install and service fire sprinkler systems to a wide range of clients with various applications of fire protection systems.
- Perform Service Repairs and Deficiency Work: Perform all tasks listed on service repairs, deficiency, and installation work orders.
- Respond to Client Service Issues: Respond to client's service related issues effectively and promptly.
- Build Relationships with AHJs: Build and maintain a good working relationship with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Interpret Shop and Contract Drawings: Interpret shop and contract drawings regarding scope of work.
- Communicate with Clients: Communicate the needs required for the scope of work to be completed on schedule.
- Train Clients on Equipment Use: Train and instruct the client on proper use of all equipment installed.
- Apply NFPA Codes: Understand and apply NFPA 13, 14, 20, 24, and 25.
- Utilize Time Management Skills: Utilize time management skills to complete tasks efficiently.
- Answer After-Hours Service Calls: Answer after hour service calls when scheduled.
- Inform Management of Job Issues: Inform management of any job related issues or concerns.
- Assist with Design and Layout: Assist staff with design, layout, field surveys, and client meetings as needed to secure a bid.
- Provide Sales Information: Provide Service Sales Representatives (SSR) with information regarding sales leads, change order opportunities, and Fire Sprinkler sales.
- Comply with Company Policies: Comply with all DynaFire policies and procedures.
- Acquire and Maintain Equipment: Acquire and maintain required equipment on the tool list.
- Follow Safety Procedures: Follow DynaFire's safety procedures in addition to the client's safety program.
- Operate Construction Equipment: Safely operate construction equipment including, but not limited to, step ladders, extension ladders, scissor lifts, hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, powder actuated tools.
- Participate in Training: Participate in training classes to grow professionally and increase one's knowledge of the industry.
- Valid Driver's License
- Minimum of 3 Years Hands-On Experience: Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in fire sprinkler service.
- FASA Certification
- NICET Level I Certification: NICET Level I or the equivalent in water based systems within 24 months from date of hire.
- Proficient in Office Hardware and Software: Proficient in office hardware and software tools used by DynaFire.
- Fluent in Fire Protection Terminology: Fluent in back-flow, wet system, dry system, fire pump, fire pump controller, and alarm device terminology as well as troubleshooting procedures.
