Job Summary

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a strong background in hospitality, event management, food and beverage, sales and marketing, or a related professional area. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

Core Work Activities

As an Event Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in managing meetings and special events, including researching and analyzing new products, pricing, and services of competition.
  • Assisting in apprising property of all groups that will impact property operations.
  • Assisting in execution of event management strategy that is aligned with the company's business strategy and leads its execution.
  • Conducting daily walk-throughs of banquet floors to promote client satisfaction and quality standards.
  • Learning, operating, and training employees on software systems used in events such as ticketing, retail, inventory, space usage, etc.
Managing Profitability

You will assist in developing working relationships with outside vendors and establishing prices and service agreements to enhance the event experience and increase additional revenue opportunities for the property as needed.

Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

You will create an atmosphere in all event management operations areas that meets or exceeds guest expectations, sets a positive example for guest relations, and interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

Managing and Conducting Human Resources Activities

You will interview, select, and train employees, appraise employee productivity and efficiency, and provide for the safety and security of employees or the property.
