Job Summary

We are seeking an exceptional scholar to join our faculty as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the fields of International Economics and closely related fields. The successful candidate will be expected to produce original research, teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, supervise and mentor graduate students, and engage in select service activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct empirical research on issues related to the global economy, including trade and trade policy, multinational firms, international macroeconomics, exchange rates, and immigration.
  • Teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels, including introductory and advanced courses in international economics and related fields.
  • Supervise and mentor graduate students, including PhD students and master's students.
  • Engage in select service activities, such as serving on departmental or university committees, participating in professional organizations, and contributing to the development of new programs or initiatives.
Qualifications
  • PhD in Economics or a related field.
  • Expertise in international economics, including trade and trade policy, multinational firms, international macroeconomics, exchange rates, and immigration.
  • Strong research and teaching skills, with a demonstrated ability to produce high-quality research and teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, students, and other stakeholders.
