Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Atlantic Health System. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients, evaluating prescription orders, and ensuring the proper functioning of respiratory equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide respiratory care to patients as ordered by physicians and according to established standards and practices.
  • Evaluate prescription orders, check patient information, and determine requirements for treatment and order processing.
  • Set up and educate patients on how to operate respiratory devices and equipment, such as CPAP/VPAP machines, humidifiers, masks, hoses/tubing, etc.
  • Monitor and maintain adequate levels of respiratory supplies.
  • Review and respond to patient requests via phone calls, in-basket messaging, and electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pulmonary specialists, thoracic surgeons, and critical care specialists, to provide comprehensive care to patients with respiratory conditions.
  • Participate in the performance of diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function tests, to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory conditions.
Requirements
  • Associate of Science degree from an accredited respiratory therapist program.
  • Minimum 1+ years of respiratory care experience.
  • Credentialed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Active license for Respiratory Therapy in New Jersey.
  • Basic Life Support certification.
