The Nutritional Specialist conducts dietary assessments for patients and collaborates with the medical team to develop and oversee care plans tailored to nutritional requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a departmental representative within the hospital's clinical team.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Develop and implement meal plans.
  • Engage directly with patients to clarify dietary needs and supplement requirements based on their diagnoses.
  • Provide guidance on enteral and parenteral nutrition support.
  • Evaluate patients for signs of malnutrition and create nutrition intervention strategies and care plans to address identified dietary issues.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in food service management software.
  • Deliver inpatient nutritional counseling.
  • Exhibit flexibility in taking on additional relevant responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current licensure as a Registered Dietician.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Work in environments with varying temperatures, including production areas and walk-in coolers/freezers.

Work Location and Schedule:

  • Main Campus.
  • Per Diem - As Scheduled.

Compensation Range:

  • $30-$40 per hour.
