Job Overview

Position: Childcare Associate

Reports to: Nursery Supervisor

General Position Summary: This role is dedicated to ensuring the well-being and safety of young children and infants during services and events. The position is vital as it involves caring for vulnerable individuals who rely on attentive supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee and engage with preschool-aged children and infants.
  2. Prioritize the safety and security of all children under your supervision.
  3. Manage interactions with parents and address their concerns.
  4. Participate in scheduled services and special events.
  5. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the play area and toys at the conclusion of each shift.
  6. Assist with additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Supervision:

Responsible for the safety of children and consulting with the Nursery Supervisor as necessary.

Internal Contacts:

Collaborate with the Nursery Supervisor and Pastoral Assistant.

External Contacts:

Engage with parents of the children in care.

Working Conditions:

This position operates within a standard office environment and may require lifting and carrying toddlers.

Travel Requirements:

No travel is required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with experience working with children.

Desired Skills:

Certification in CPR and First Aid is advantageous.

FLSA Designation: Non-Exempt

Job Grade: Occasional
