In our Vetco Total Care Full Service Veterinary Hospitals, the role of the veterinarian is pivotal. Our veterinarians are committed to delivering exceptional quality care to both pets and their families. They are equipped with state-of-the-art tools and supported by a team of skilled professionals, enabling them to excel in areas such as dentistry and nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding patient care through thorough examinations, accurate diagnoses, and effective treatment plans tailored to each pet's unique needs.
- Employ a systematic approach to problem-solving, ensuring comprehensive assessments and appropriate interventions.
- Maintain meticulous medical records, documenting all patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
- Perform a range of surgical procedures, from routine spays and neuters to complex surgeries.
- Engage in continuous learning and knowledge sharing with team members to enhance the overall quality of care.
Supervision and Collaboration:
The veterinarian will work under the guidance of the Hospital Medical Leader or Area Medical Director, ensuring adherence to established standards and protocols. Collaboration with fellow veterinarians is essential to foster a supportive and professional environment.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited institution.
- Active veterinary license in the state of practice.
- Current DEA and Controlled Substance Licenses.
- Comfortable with anesthesia and performing various surgical procedures.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
Work Environment:
The majority of responsibilities will be conducted within our veterinary hospitals, requiring physical stamina and the ability to engage directly with clients and their pets.
