Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop world-class intrinsic safe electronic sensors and control hardware for hazardous underground mining environments.
  • Collaborate with a cross-disciplinary team to formulate and design innovative products.
  • Take technical ownership of hardware design projects, leading architecture and design reviews with internal teams and suppliers.
  • Lead various aspects of electronic product readiness, including manufacturability and testing.
Requirements:
  • Experience in electronics hardware design, including intrinsic safety, IECEx/ATEX, MSHA certifications, and FPGA design.
  • Strong background in low-power microprocessor-based controllers, high-speed communication systems, and Ethernet-based networks.
  • Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and circuit analysis applications, such as Altium and OrCAD.
  • Experience with electronic test equipment, including logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and digital oscilloscopes.
  • Detail-oriented, consistent, and motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills.
