We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Inland Real Estate. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of our community, ensuring a safe and secure living environment for residents, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs to apartments, common areas, and grounds
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
- Remove trash and maintain a clean environment
- Respond to emergency repairs and maintain accurate records
- Communicate with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction
- Perform landscaping, cleaning, and other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent fieldwork
- Ability to interact professionally with prospects, residents, staff, and management
- Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and HVAC systems
- Applicant must furnish their own tools and have transportation to pick up replacement parts and supplies
- Preferred certifications include HVAC, CPO, and CFC/EPA
Work Environment:
This is a full-time position requiring 40+ hours a week, evenings, weekends, and on-call hours. We are a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment background checks and drug screening on all new hires.
