Clinical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will provide high-quality patient care, lead by example, and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide safe and effective patient care in the ambulatory setting, utilizing the nursing process and adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Assume clinical leadership roles, providing guidance and mentorship to staff members.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient education programs, promoting self-management and empowerment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Contribute to the maintenance of a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to patient safety protocols and procedures.
- Current RN licensure in New Mexico or eligibility for reciprocal agreement.
- CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
- 3 years of direct experience in a similar role, with a strong focus on patient care and leadership.
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish, or other languages spoken in New Mexico.
This role requires heavy physical exertion, with frequent lifting of patients and equipment. The work environment is moderate, with exposure to chemicals and hazardous materials.
