Required Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:
  • Possession of an active TS/SCI security clearance with a current polygraph is mandatory.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Software Engineer in projects of comparable scope, type, and complexity is essential.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
    • Four (4) additional years of Software Engineering experience in similar software processes may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
  • One of the following certifications is necessary:
    • AWS Certified Developer-Associate
    • AWS DevOps Engineer Professional
    • Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
    • Elastic Certified Engineer
  • Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proven experience with OpenSource (NoSQL) technologies that facilitate highly distributed, massively parallel computing needs such as Hbase, Accumulo, and/or Big Table.

    • Proven experience with Map/Reduce and/or Hadoop, Hive, and/or Pig.

    • Proven experience with the Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS).

    • Proven experience with Big-Data Cloud Scalability (e.g., Amazon, Google, and/or Facebook).

    • Proven experience in designing and developing web applications using JavaScript.

    • Proven experience in creating and developing automated analytic software, techniques, and algorithms.

    • Proven experience with compute cluster monitoring tools (e.g., Hobbit, Ganglia).

    • Proven experience with Accumulo internals, including configuration, tuning, and testing Accumulo in various configurations (greater than 200 node clusters).
