Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy machinery such as MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
- Prior experience in mechanical and/or equipment servicing
- Educational background in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
- Leverage all technical support resources (including operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying necessary parts for repairs
- Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
- Perform all tasks in strict adherence to Altec Safety protocols and procedures
- Inform supervisors of any situations that may affect customer relations
- Provide accurate and complete information on all required documentation

- Undertake additional duties as assigned
Essential Requirements:
- High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational abilities
- Physical capability to handle objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
- A high level of manual dexterity
- As required, provide basic tools in accordance with Altec's tool policy
- Ability to operate motor vehicles
- Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
- Willingness to support customers by working overtime
- Promote safety in all activities
