Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes; or construction, mining, agricultural equipment such as excavators, skid steers, dozers, or tractors; or military heavy machinery such as MRAP vehicles, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) or similar
  • Prior experience in mechanical and/or equipment servicing
  • Educational background in mechanics, electrical, or hydraulic systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute the replacement of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical components
  • Leverage all technical support resources (including operator, parts, and maintenance manuals, HowFactory, etc.) for troubleshooting, determining procedures, and identifying necessary parts for repairs
  • Conduct Unit Condition Inspections and Reports
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
  • Perform all tasks in strict adherence to Altec Safety protocols and procedures
  • Inform supervisors of any situations that may affect customer relations
  • Provide accurate and complete information on all required documentation

  • Undertake additional duties as assigned

Essential Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and organizational abilities
  • Physical capability to handle objects and tools weighing up to 75 pounds; frequent bending, stooping, squatting, and kneeling
  • A high level of manual dexterity
  • As required, provide basic tools in accordance with Altec's tool policy
  • Ability to operate motor vehicles
  • Develop basic computer skills with Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to support customers by working overtime
  • Promote safety in all activities
