Job Summary

Guthrie Lourdes Hospital is seeking a full-time Emergency Services Technician to provide exceptional patient care and support in the Emergency Department.

The successful candidate will be responsible for stocking and organizing ED supplies, transporting patients, measuring and documenting vital signs, and providing support to patients and families in the waiting area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Stock and organize ED supplies and equipment
  • Transport patients into and out of the ED
  • Measure and document vital signs accurately and timely
  • Provide support and information to patients and families in the waiting area
  • Perform phlebotomy as ordered by the provider or per Nursing Protocol orders
  • Perform circulating role during trauma activations
  • Perform POCT and document results
  • Respond to call bells
  • Assist patients as needed
  • Perform hourly rounding and document in the EHR
Requirements
  • High school graduate/GED or equivalent
  • BLS required
  • Previous customer/patient relations experience preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patient Care Technician/CNA preferred
  • EMT/EMT-P preferred
  • EKG certification preferred
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred
