We are seeking an experienced automotive technician to join our award-winning, high-volume service team at Morristown Chevrolet, a Hudson Automotive Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex automotive systems, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and air conditioning
- Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
- Communicate directly with the service advisor to inform customers of additional service needs and provide estimates for repairs
- Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
- Document all work performed on the repair order
- Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as assigned by the service manager
- Keep abreast of manufacturer technical bulletins
- Ensure customer vehicles are kept clean and notify the service advisor of any changes to the vehicle's appearance or condition
- Maintain and be accountable for all dealership-owned tools and manuals
- Understand and comply with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right-to-Know
- 3-5+ years of previous automotive technician experience
- Chevrolet experience preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment testing, including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver's license
- $70k - $110k+ per year earning potential + bonuses
- Up to $5,000 sign-on bonus based on qualifications and experience
