Job Summary

The Virginia Lottery is seeking a Sales Merchandiser to support sales efforts by filling and maintaining Lottery vending machines, replacing and maintaining counter dispensers, and assisting in special projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently with low levels of supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support sales efforts by filling and maintaining Lottery vending machines
  • Replace and maintain counter dispensers
  • Assist in special projects and tasks as assigned
  • Work closely with the Area Manager and Sales Representatives to accomplish sales and distribution goals
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently with low levels of supervision
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, and time management skills
  • Good math skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of route sales, consumer package goods industry, and experience working in the convenience store, mass merchandiser, and/or grocery environment
  • Route experience preferred
What We Offer

The Virginia Lottery offers a competitive hourly rate and a state vehicle with gas. This is an hourly position without benefits, with less than 30 hours per week, but may vary based on business need. Weekend work is required.
