Position Summary: The Sales and Forecasting Analyst is tasked with the critical role of evaluating sales data, predicting future sales trends, and delivering insightful recommendations to inform strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Analysis:
    • Examine historical sales data to uncover trends and anomalies.
    • Generate regular reports detailing sales performance against forecasts.

  • Forecasting:

    • Provide insights into customer preferences and behaviors.
  • Data Management:
    • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of sales data through diligent database management.
    • Effectively implement and utilize forecasting software and tools.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualization tools.
  • Strategic Planning:
    • Assist in the formulation of sales strategies and business plans.
    • Engage in cross-functional meetings to align sales forecasts with operational strategies.
    • Offer recommendations to optimize inventory levels and enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and present comprehensive reports to management, emphasizing key insights and recommendations.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to sales and forecasting.
    • Translate business inquiries into reporting and analytical requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, statistics, finance, or a related field with a proven work history.

Experience: Extensive hands-on experience in sales analysis, forecasting, or a related capacity.

Desired Skills and Attributes:
  • Strong analytical abilities with expertise in statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.
  • Understanding of supply chain and inventory management principles.
  • Familiarity with advanced data analytics tools and software (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and a willingness to learn new systems.
  • Experience with various ERP systems and external planning software.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative mindset for working within cross-functional teams.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational capabilities.
  • Proactive and self-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience in the outdoor, recreational, or professional products sector is advantageous.
  • Bilingual candidates in English and Spanish are preferred.
