Job Title: Surgical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Winner Regional Healthcare Center.

About the Role

The Surgical Nurse Specialist will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the perioperative setting. This includes assessing patients, developing individualized care plans, and implementing evidence-based interventions to promote optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collects and organizes pertinent patient assessment data, using established assessment forms to document emotional, spiritual, and physical care needs.
  • Analyzes assessment data to identify expected outcomes unique to the patient, formulating measurable goals and incorporating cultural needs/diversity into individualized patient outcome identification.
  • Develops and implements a plan of care consistent with assessment data, involving patient, family, and healthcare providers to identify outcomes and defining attainable timeframes.
  • Documents intervention implementation, noting exceptions/modifications, and evaluates patient progress toward attainment of outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current RN license to practice in the State of South Dakota or multi-state licensure privileges.
  • Experience working in a perioperative setting, preferably as a Surgical Nurse.
  • Excellent clinical, communication, and critical thinking skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
