About the Job

The University of Minnesota Duluth is seeking a highly skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and construction projects on campus. As a key member of the Facilities Management team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance and construction staff to ensure that projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure that all necessary materials and services are procured in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure that work is being done to the highest standards of quality.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and students, to ensure that their needs are met and that they are informed of project progress.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as construction management, facilities management, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of construction management software and systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with project management software and systems.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
  • Experience working in a higher education setting.
