Job Summary:
The Patient Account Representative is a key member of our client's business office staff, responsible for resolving account balances with patients and insurance companies. As a representative of our client's business, you will be responsible for taking in-coming and making out-going calls to patients and insurance companies to resolve account balances. You will perform any and all job-related duties as assigned, following all client policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heavy outbound calling to patients and insurance companies to resolve account balances
- Account review and updates to ensure accurate and timely resolution of account balances
- Providing exceptional customer service to patients and insurance companies
- Responsible for working on 40-70 accounts per day
- Complete all business-related requests and correspondence from patients and insurance companies
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
- 1 year experience working in an office or customer service
- Strong customer service skills and experience required
- PC skills in a Windows environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge and utilization of desktop applications to include Word and Excel
- 1+ year experience working in a healthcare setting
