We are seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator who will oversee all elements of salary management, ensuring the accuracy of timesheets and timely payment processing.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support by managing attendance tracking systems, processing payroll modifications, maintaining employee records, and facilitating communication within the HR Department.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess the precision of timesheets submitted by various departments weekly and reach out to supervisors or employees in case of discrepancies.
2. Oversee electronic timekeeping systems.
3. Accurately input data into the payroll system, including employee tax information, exemptions, transfers, and terminations as changes occur.
4. Address payroll discrepancies by reviewing historical records and making necessary wage corrections or adjustments.
5. Monitor employee absences using payroll software, documenting personal days, sick leave, jury duty, or extended leaves; also manage vacation accruals, approve or deny time-off requests, and maintain vacation schedules.
6. Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, leave balances, tax documentation, and other compensation-related matters.
7. Participate in the orientation process for new employees.
8. Execute additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:
- Previous payroll experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of employment and payroll taxation.
- Excellent accounting and mathematical abilities.
- High attention to detail is crucial.
- Experience in a unionized environment is preferred.
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required; relevant college degree or coursework in advanced mathematics, finance, accounting, business, or related fields is preferred.
