Job Description Summary

At Lewis University, we are seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach one or more classes in the Respiratory Therapy program for the St. Augustine site.

This is a part-time position, with approximately 7 hours of work per week, on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities
  • Teach one or more classes in a designated area, modeling the University's Mission through dedicated job performance and service excellence.
  • Monitor the quality of laboratory equipment and replace or repair any defective items.
  • Set up the laboratory facility in preparation for a lab experience.
  • Assist students in performing the necessary skills being taught during the session.
  • Evaluate students' capability to demonstrate the skill being taught.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a related field.
  • RRT credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
  • Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience, preferably in a critical care setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a preceptor or clinical educator.
  • Teaching experience as a clinical and/or faculty instructor in a respiratory therapy program.
