At Lewis University, we are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Adjunct Faculty member to join our Respiratory Therapy program. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a vital role in teaching and mentoring students in our Respiratory Therapy program.

• Teach one or more classes in a designated area, ensuring that students receive a high-quality education and are prepared for their future careers.
• Monitor the quality of laboratory equipment and replace or repair any defective items, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment.
• Set up the laboratory facility in preparation for a lab experience, ensuring that students have the necessary resources to learn and grow.
• Assist students in performing the necessary skills being taught during the session, providing individualized attention and support.
• Evaluate students' capability to demonstrate the skill being taught, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

• BS (preferably in respiratory therapy) or equivalent experience.
• RRT credentials from the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience (preferably in a critical care setting).

• Experience as a preceptor or clinical educator.
• Teaching experience as a clinical and/or faculty instructor in a respiratory therapy program.

This is a part-time position, with approximately 7 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
