Job Purpose:
The Bartender plays a crucial role in crafting memorable experiences by preparing beverages for guests at the bar or through the service staff. This position involves mixing, garnishing, and serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to company standards while assisting with menu item orders. Bartenders are dedicated to providing exceptional service and are always mindful of their surroundings to promote responsible drinking among members and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify the identification and age of guests and members.
- Prepare traditional and innovative cocktails.
- Process payments efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness of glasses, bar utensils, and the bar area.
- Offer food and beverage recommendations based on guest preferences.
- Manage tabs throughout the shift.
Compensation: $16 per hour
Qualifications:
- Must be of legal age to sell and serve alcoholic beverages; applicable state certification may be required.
- Familiarity with ingredients for various mixed drinks, along with knowledge of food, wine, and service etiquette.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, multitask, and prioritize responsibilities while maintaining composure.
- Experience with cash and credit card transactions.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using a calculator and point-of-sale systems.
- Capability to operate equipment such as blenders, coffee makers, and dishwashers.
Education:
- High school diploma required; specialty or technical training preferred, along with one year of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- T.A.B.C. Certification is required.
