Position Overview: We are currently seeking a Radiological Controls Technician (RCT) to become a vital member of our Radiological Monitoring team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveillance of radiological work environments to identify and document the levels and types of ionizing radiation and radioactivity, adhering to established radiological control regulations.
  • Perform and record air, water, solid, and surface radioactivity/radiation surveys utilizing specialized instruments designed to detect various types and levels of activity.
  • Oversee the usage and maintenance of nuclear containment equipment, and respond to radiological incidents to safeguard employee and environmental health.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with qualification as a Naval Nuclear Propulsion Operator (or commercial nuclear equivalent) and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or
  • Associate's degree from an accredited institution or Journeyman's papers or vocational certificate in a related field, or successful completion of RCTQS with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a related field with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
