Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

Atlanta Heart Specialists, LLC is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team in Tucker, GA. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our cardiology practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations using nuclear medicine procedures and equipment.
  • Monitor patient vitals during testing and administer radiopharmaceuticals as needed.
  • Operate imaging equipment such as gamma cameras and stress systems to capture accurate diagnostic images.
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, procedure details, and radiation dosage.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret and analyze imaging results.
  • Adhere to established protocols and guidelines for nuclear medicine procedures, as well as aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Requirements:
  • A graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program, registered in Nuclear medicine with the ARRT or the Nuclear medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or eligible for certification by the Nuclear medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • BLS and/or ACLS certification.
