Job Title: Senior Complex Litigation Attorney

Wilson Elser is a leading defense litigation law firm seeking a Senior Complex Litigation Attorney to join our New York City office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys with 8+ years of litigation experience to grow in their careers with exposure to a wide variety of prominent national clients and substantial litigation responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
  • Work closely and collaborate with other attorneys and partners
  • Regular trial preparation, investigation, court appearances, mediations, and depositions
  • Communicate with clients and provide reports
Requirements:
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in New York
  • 8+ years of defense litigation experience
  • Experience with defending Personal Injury, General Liability, Catastrophic Injury, Transportation, and other civil litigation matters preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Client-facing experience preferred
  • Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Legal project management experience is helpful
  • First chair trial experience a plus

The expected salary range for this position is $175,000 - $215,000. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
