Job Overview

Position: Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Specialist

Employment Type: Part-time

Compensation: $25.00 per hour

Role Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Specialist to enhance the treatment experience for our clients. This role involves managing appointment schedules, administering TMS treatments as directed, and assisting clients in completing psychiatric assessments before and after their sessions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate TMS treatment schedules and confirm medical insurance authorizations.
  • Administer TMS treatments following established protocols from mental health professionals.
  • Position the TMS equipment's electromagnetic coil accurately to facilitate effective treatment.
  • Provide head and neck support to ensure patients remain still during sessions.
  • Communicate TMS procedures and potential effects to patients, addressing any inquiries.
  • Foster a supportive treatment atmosphere, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
  • Assist clients in completing psychiatric assessments post-treatment.
  • Document session notes and collaborate with certified TMS psychiatrists on patient care.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's or associate degree in healthcare administration or a related field.
  • Completion of TMS certification following initial training.
  • Preferred experience with patients dealing with anxiety and depression.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record systems, such as AdvancedMD.
  • Willingness to learn TMS treatment administration and take on significant responsibilities.
  • Able to work under supervision and collaborate effectively with mental health professionals.
  • Strong commitment to ensuring patient safety and comfort, along with addressing patient inquiries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to guide and reassure clients.

Remote Work: No
