Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Diagnostic Medical Sonography Instructor to join our faculty team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching credited academic and technical courses at the freshmen and sophomore levels, as well as performing other duties associated with institutional effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instruction
    • Develop and deliver high-quality instruction for credited academic and technical courses in Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
    • Adhere to all requirements outlined and published regarding the learning management system (Blackboard).
    • Teach from current job-relevant course syllabi and training plans.
    • Supplement lectures and demonstrations with multimedia materials.
    • Maintain a safe and conducive learning environment.
    • Supervise students and maintain discipline in class, lab, and shop.
    • Develop laboratory projects that enable students to relate theory to practical application.
    • Administer written and performance examinations to determine student progress.
    • Implement a system of recording student progress.
    • Communicate student progress to students and appropriate personnel.
  • Recordkeeping
    • Maintain accurate attendance records and submit attendance reports as required.
    • Follow the state and institution's adopted grading system.
    • Submit grades each term for each student by the due date.
  • Enforcement of College Policies
    • Participate in departmental orientation.
    • Communicate announcements to students as directed by the administration.
    • Follow institutional and System policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Qualifications

The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree and be a Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS).
