Executive Chef Opportunity at The Grand Summit Hotel

The Grand Summit Hotel at Attitash, managed by Hay Creek Hotels, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As the only ski-in, ski-out access on Attitash Mountain, the hotel offers 143 guest rooms, suites, and fully equipped studios with resort-condo amenities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement creative, cost-effective menu items based on market segments and customer preferences.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality food production recipes, ensuring consistency and presentation standards.
  • Manage food inventory, ordering, and receiving, as well as par levels and rotation.
  • Lead and train kitchen staff, including hiring, discipline, performance reviews, and wages.
  • Monitor and control food costs, ensuring adherence to budget and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with the F&B Director on kitchen workflow and expediting to ensure a smooth-running operation.
  • Act as a hands-on team member, working as a culinary team member as needed based on staffing levels and business demand.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of recent culinary management experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
  • Previous staff management experience preferred.
  • Experience in Banquet/Event execution preferred.
  • Creative, innovative, and inspired to develop new and intriguing menu items.
  • Demonstrate a positive, upbeat, and customer-focused attitude.
  • Experience in inventory control and cost management preferred.
  • Flexibility to work nights or mornings, weekends, holidays, and busy seasonal days.
