Job Overview

Position Summary:

We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled individuals to fill the role of Water Quality Systems Specialist. In this position, you will be responsible for the installation and management of water purification systems capable of handling up to 4,000 gallons per minute (gpm) while addressing a variety of contaminants including turbidity, pH levels, hydrocarbons, metals, and nutrients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • System Installation and Management: Configure and oversee water treatment systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Forklift Operation: Operate forklifts safely to move materials, equipment, and supplies to various locations.
  • Field Work: Conduct outdoor tasks under varying weather conditions.
  • Travel Requirements: Travel frequently for assignments across different locations.
  • Instrumentation and Sampling: Acquire knowledge and implement water quality instrumentation and sampling methods.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records including Jobsite Hazard Analysis, Water Quality Data Logs, Daily Work Orders, and Delivery Tickets.
  • Mechanical Skills: Demonstrate mechanical proficiency or familiarity with laboratory equipment.
  • Work Flexibility: Commit to a minimum of 20 hours per week (3 days or more) and be adaptable with work hours, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications:

  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Reliable: Dependable with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Mechanical Proficiency: Mechanical skills or experience with laboratory equipment is advantageous.
  • Weather Adaptability: Capable of working in challenging weather conditions.
  • Schedule Flexibility: Willingness to work nights and weekends as necessary.
  • Pre-Employment Requirements: Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and possess a satisfactory driving record.
  • Forklift Certification: A valid forklift operator certification is preferred; training may be provided if needed.
