Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at RoadSafe Traffic Systems. As a key member of our traffic control department, you will be responsible for directing motorists and ensuring the safe movement of traffic at work sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct Motorists: Safely direct motorists away from worker activities, moving equipment, and oncoming traffic.
  • Set Up Traffic Control: Set up signs, cones, and other traffic control devices to divert traffic and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
  • Work Independently: Work independently to set up and perform flagging operations at job sites based on site plans and contractor directions.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with contractors, supervisors, and office staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and be able to operate a vehicle safely.
  • Flagger Certification: Hold a current Flagger certification or be able to pass Company-sponsored Flagger Certification.
  • Defensive Driver Training: Successfully pass Company-sponsored Defensive Driver training.
  • Excellent Attendance: Demonstrate excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.
Work Environment

As a Traffic Control Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving equipment, and machinery parts. You will be required to stand, walk, and reach for up to 14 hours a day, and occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing more than 50 pounds.
