Emergency Room Patient Registration Specialist

This role requires close collaboration with both the physician's office and the Emergency Department to ensure that all essential documentation is accurately completed, insurance verification is conducted, and pre-authorization of benefits is initiated.
The individual will also be tasked with the precise entry of patient information into the financial system and the collection of applicable deductibles and co-payments at the time of service.
This position is Full-time, with a day shift schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., three days a week.
EDUCATION:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required; familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
EXPERIENCE:
Preferred candidates will have at least one year of experience in a healthcare office setting. A solid understanding of basic medical office and insurance terminology is beneficial. The ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently is essential. Strong business telephone and communication skills are necessary.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:
Must possess a current driver's license.
